The Copyright Society of Malawi (COSOMA), through the Copyright Fund, announced the successful recipients of the 5th Call for Proposals.

A total of 17 outstanding projects namely; Ngale 428 Arts Centre (Cultural Day Celebrations Lilongwe),Patrick Simakweli (Simakweli’s School of Music),Nyamithambo Arts Palace (Khulubvi Arts and Cultural Festival), Pope Mzumara (Construction of the Heritage Hub),Sustainable Cape Macrear (Upgrading Expertise for Innovative Recyling and a Sustainable Future in Cape Mac), Likoma Secondary School (Likoma Secondary School Cultural Festival),Chimuonechi Chisiza (Amplified Voice),Zeeya Creations (Protect your Hustle’ Creative Rights for creators), Shafiq Kalumo (Art in the me), Theresa Phondo (Theresa Phondo’s Collaborative Music Event in Nigeria), Kwidu Foundation (Empowering Creativity and Cultural development), Farai Chazima (Support to Vulnerable Children),Dennis Kumwenda (Preserving our Heritage), Dan Lu (The Dan L Talk Show), Tonney Chitimatima Chiphwanya (Empowering Islamic Musicians) Renard Mapemba (Phalombe Music Festivals), Dr. Jamil Sharif Chikakuda (Che Mandota) have been selected for funding. These projects reflect the depth, diversity, and dynamism of Malawian creativity – spanning various artistic disciplines and cultural expressions.
